He was predeceased by: his father Robert Harry. He is survived by: his son Jeffery Matthews of Portage; his daughter-in-law Tasha Matthews of Valparaiso; his granddaughters, Addison and Raegan Matthews of Valparaiso; his siblings, Robert Matthews (Linda) of Valparaiso, James Matthews of Lakeland, Florida and Lynda Tesci of Kendallville, Indiana; his close friend Karon Ball; his friend Beverly Ford Weyer; and the mother of his children Florence Ann Piddington. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other loving family members and friends.
