Wesley C. Birky Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Wesley C. Birky of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Kouts, Indiana, who passed away on May 30, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Emanuel Birky and Elsie Birky; his former wife Nila Maddox Birky; his son Gary Michael Birky; and his siblings, Margaret Birky (Homer) and Myron Birky.

He is survived by: his wife Vera Nuest Birky; his children, Gwen Miller (Gary), Lynn Hollandsworth, Pam Basinger (Jerome) and Brenda Strong (Bart); his grandchildren, Rachel Snowden (John), Ben Miller, Jeff Hollandsworth (Gwen), Dan Basinger (Vikki) and Bekah Grudda (Lucas); his great grandchildren, Isaiah, Ezekiel Snowden, Naomi Miller, Wesley, Bradley Basinger, Olivia, Caleb, Micah and Macie Grudda; his children, Steve Nuest (Connie), Jacki Schmidgall (Dan) and Jill Hitz (Jim); his grandchildren, Cory Nuest (Shannon), Chad Nuest (Kalee), Ashlee Francois (Claudy), Trent Schmidgall, Brandi Hall (Jeff), Sarah Conway, Jonathon Hitz (Kellee) and Justin Hitz; his great grandchildren, Courtney, Dani, Troy Nuest, Abigail, Jett, Cash Nuest, Lia, Emerson Francois, Kyler, Keedin, Kynlee Schmidgall, Taelyn, Gabriella, Tommy Conway, Hallie, Jase, Jack Hitz, Taylor and Dylan Hitz; and his sister-in-law Vivian Birky (Myron).
