With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Vernon R. Birky of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Kouts, Indiana, who passed away on February 25, 2023 at the age of 91. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Vernon R. Birky to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Dean Birky and Hazel Birky (Fleener); his spouse Shirley A. Hopkins; his granddaughter Mary Grace Birky; and his siblings, Lloyd, Eldon Birky, Alvena Dunham and Lorna Birky.
He is survived by: his children, Michael R. Birky (Cindy) of Kouts, Terry L. Davis of Valparaiso and David A. Birky of Valparaiso; and his grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Sara Szarley, Cherish DeLeon and Jordan Davis. He is also survived by seven great-grandchildren.
