He was predeceased by: his father Burl Salyer; his wife Elda "Cookie" Salyer; and his siblings, Calvin, Leann Fornal and Vivian Salyer.
He is survived by: his children, Laura Meyer (Jim) and Jonathan Salyer (Anjela); his grandchildren, Andrew, Ava Meyer, Torrence and Slate Salyer; his sister Carol Souder (Perry); and his sister-in-law Terri Salyer.
