We bid farewell to Sara K. McBride of Valparaiso, Indiana, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 14, 2025 at the age of 85. Sara touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her husband Dr. Robert E. McBride; her parents, Ray Proffitt and Evelyn Proffitt; her son Mark; and her brother Jim Proffitt.
She is survived by: her sister Nancy Proffitt of Mason; her children, Julie Kolettis (George) of Fort Wayne, Dr. Rob McBride (Robyn) of Valparaiso and Greg McBride (Kristi Paull) of Wilsonville, Oregon; her grandchildren, Dr. George Kolettis (Kara), Sara Hansen (Matt), Nick Kolettis (Katie), Dr. Rob McBride (Chloe), Dr. Ryan McBride, Katie Conroy (Jared) and Becky McBride (Brandon Bird); and her cocker spaniel Belle. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church (103 Franklin St, Valparaiso, IN 46383). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Sally's memory to Valparaiso First United Methodist Church or Dunes Hospice.
