He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John, Elizabeth Tunacik and Charles Murphy. He is survived by: his parents, Dan Tunacik and JoEllen Tunacik (Murphy) of Valparaiso; his siblings, John Tunacik of Valparaiso, Kathryn Smith (Chris) and Daniel Tunacik, Jr. of Seattle, WA; his nieces, Annelise, Margot and Greta; and his grandmother Eleanor Murphy of Stanwood, MI. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Salvation Army of Porter County.

“Oh, Dan...I am so so very sorry to see this heartbreaking news... I hope your parents are ok... Oh gosh, I apologize NO one can be OK when suffering the loss of their adult child. I remembered that your brother had struggeled quite a bit with extremely difficult life challanges. It’s NOT fair!!! My heart is broken..... for you as well as the rest of your family.
