He was predeceased by: his parents, William Kovach and Mary Kovach; his son Barry Kovach; and his sister Violet Couwenhoven. He is survived by: his children, Diane Hazell (Gary) of Valparaiso, Brian Kovach of Gary and Monica Korzenecki (Ken) of Valparaiso; and his former wife Lorraine Konway. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.
