She was predeceased by: her half-brother Joshua Newell; and her grandparents, Roy, Ruth Merchant and Joseph "Bud" Newell, Sr.. She is survived by: her parents, Cheryl Newell, Jr. (Merchant) of Valparaiso and Joseph Newell; her niece Emily Mei Newell; and her grandmother Marie Newell of Schererville. She is also survived by many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
