He was predeceased by: his parents, Alfonso Mendoza and Juanita Mendoza; and his son Alfred Mendoza. He is survived by: his wife Lydia H Mendoza; and his children, John (Iris), Teresa (Gerardo), Manuel (Late), Gilbert (Josey), Esperanza (Martin), Victor (Lupe), Hector (Lisa), Mario (Diana) and Alex (Trina). He is also survived by 30 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, 5 great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
