He was loved and cherished by many people including: his mother Gretchen Poncher (Marquardt); his wife Gwen Stewart; his children, John Poncher (Trisha) of Valparaiso, Susan Poncher of Michigan City, Julia Mosca (Dominic) of Wilmette, IL and Jane McPeters (Dennis) of Chandler, AZ; his grandchildren, Emily, Kathlyn Poncher, Gretchen and Elaina; and his children, Angelina Billys and Trent McPeters.
Memorial donations may be made to Boys and Girls Club of Valparaiso (founded locally by Dr. Poncher's cousin Bryce Billings in 1972), or Immanuel Lutheran Church.
