He was predeceased by: his wife Phyllis Buckalew. He is survived by: his children, Rita Shireman (Todd) of Wanatah, Gregory Smoker (Debora) of Wanatah, Susan Carpenter (Scott) of Cassopolis, MI and Jeffrey Smoker (Angela) of Wanatah; his siblings, Jane Maxwell of Valparaiso and Jerry (Kelli) of Wanatah; his grandchildren, Clinton, Nathan, Jacob, Matthew, Joseph, Melissa, Morgan, Mitchell, Madison, Sarah and Trent; and his great grandchildren, Millicent, Raelyn, Natalie, Catherine, Sadie, Elijah, Stella and Brody.
