She was predeceased by: her parents, Ross Shinaberger and Doris Shinaberger (Ellingson). She is survived by: her husband Edward Atkinson; her daughters, Kimberly Atkinson and Cheryl Polarek (Bob); her sister Judy Nelson (Tom); her grandchildren, Lauren Jeffries (Trevor), Jackson Polarek and Leo Polarek; and her great grandchild Zane Jeffries of Valparaiso.
Memorial donations may be made to Salem United Methodist Church, Lakeshore PAWS or Dunes Hospice.
