It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy R. Hoover of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Whiting, Indiana, who passed away on February 28, 2023, at the age of 95, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Charles Hoover, Sr.; and her siblings, Ann Vrabel, Leona Zientara, Emma Pers, Mary Macnak, Dr. Bernard Poracky and Andrew Poracky.
She is survived by: her daughters, Mary Ruth Kacmarik (Paul) and Kathy Bobos (Gregory); her grandchildren, Steven Kacmarik (Kristi), David Kacmarik (Ashley), Gregory Bobos, Charles Hoover, Jr. (Ruth) and Chris Hoover (Erika); and her great grandchildren, Jonathan, Madison, Caden, Ian, Chris, Jr., Liana, Lucy and Benjamin.
In lieu of flowers, memorials to the St. John Organ Fund or to the St. Joseph Church Soup Kitchen, Hammond would be appreciated.
