With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Doris Ruth Hettinger of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Gary, Indiana, who passed away on June 8, 2021 at the age of 94. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Willis Riddle and Esther Ruth Elliott; her sister Betty; her spouse Loyal Henry Hettinger; her daughter Sandra Cozad; her grandchild Shawn Cozad; and her great grandchild Preston Carl Cook.

She is survived by: her daughters, Sharon Allan and Esther Olson (Carl). She is also survived by two daughters, eight grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren and 1 great great grandchild.
