It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Carol Ruth Parker of Valparaiso, Indiana, born in Blacksville, West Virginia, who passed away on January 20, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Arthur Cummins and Alice Minor Cummins; and her husband Monie Carl "Bill" Parker. She is survived by: her children, Monie Owen Parker (Kim) of Quitman and Mary Elizabeth Koontz (Brent) of Appomattox, Virginia; and her brothers, James Cummins (Nancy) of Jakes Run, Joseph Cummins of Morgantown and John Cummins of Hendersonville. She is also survived by four grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
