He was predeceased by: his parents, Lois Smith (Jordan) and Byron Smith Jr.. He is survived by: his siblings, Janet Smith Ward of Charlotte, NC, Carol Smith (Robert Stocco) of Bellingham, WA, Paul Smith (Debbie) of Highland Park, IL and Douglas Smith (Wendy) of Valparaiso; and his significant other Jennifer Samble. He is also survived by 4 nieces, 5 nephews, one great niece.
