She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hamann and Caroline Hamann (Klemz); her siblings, Roland "Ding" Hamann of Louisville, Joan Hambrock of Fort Wayne, Indiana., Ardella Haman of Osawatomie and Wilma Edwards of Center Point; and her daughter-in-law Kathleen DeFries of Valparaiso.
She is survived by: her son David L. DeFries; her grandsons, Ryan and Daniel; her son Dr. Timothy H. DeFries (Larayne Dallas); and her grandchildren, Christa, Nat and Anna.
