He was predeceased by: his parents, John B. Carter and Estella Carter (Davis). He is survived by: his former wives, Norma Jean Milhollin and Janet Glass; his wife Janet Carter of Fairmount; his children, Dennis Carter (Judy) of Fairmount, Michael Carter (Wanda) of Fairmount, Diane Elliott (Gary) of White Pine, TN, Karen Richards (Tom) of Fairmount and Lesa Hawkins (Jeff); his stepsons, Michael Glass (Cindy) of Hartford City, Jeffery Glass (Diane) of Matthews, Patrick Glass (Rosa) of Virginia, Timothy Glass (Angie) and Gulf Shores; and his siblings, Ralph Carter of Ohio, Joseph Carter of Washington State and Louise Sprowl of Marion. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
