It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Helen Heiny in Upland, Indiana, born in Wenatchee, Washington, who passed away on January 11, 2021, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lynn Edgar Smith and Evelyn Frances Goodell (Deeter); her husband George Heiny; her brother Jim Smith; and her stepson Kim Allen Heiny.
She is survived by: her children, Allen James (Marion), Brenda Gall (Marion), Kim Liechty and Randy James (Peggy) of Gastonia, NC; her stepdaughter Jody Hamblin; her sister Joan Bowers of Coupeville, WA; and her grandchildren, Weston James (Tricia), Jenifer Gall, Lee James (Jen), Keri Hill (Jack), Jimmy James, Jill Frias (Jose), Jeremy Gall (Melanie), Julie Hale (Jason), Dacia West, Tabatha and Jamie Heiny. She is also survived by 23 great-grandchildren.
