He is survived by: his mother Enola Arbutus Thorpe (Holland) of Michigan City; his wife Jill Ann Thorpe (Buss); his children, Sarah Frazier, Joseph Thorpe (Laci) of Star City, IN, Drake Thorpe (Stephanie Brown) of Knox and Benjamin Thorpe of Union Mills; his sister Rebecca Thorpe-Weaterwax of Michigan City; his mother-in-law Rita Buss of LaPorte; his grandchildren, Anastasia, Brayden, Sophia, Franklynn, Jake and Henry; his pet Dude; his stepson Mark Laskarin; his father-in-law Walter Buss; and his pets, Jackson and Max. He is also survived by several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, and many nieces and nephews.
