She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Janisch and Martha Janisch (Schmidt); her children-in-law, Darlene Koontz and Robert Aubin; and her brothers, Ron and Don Janisch.
She is survived by: her husband Eugene "Gene" Koontz; her children, Teri Aubin of LaPorte, Jim Koontz of Hanna, Jeff Koontz (Kelly) of Union Mills and Steve Koontz (Maria) of Hanna; her sister-in-law Leta Janisch of LaPorte; and her grandchildren, William, Gregory, Craig, Stanley, Matt, Adam, Ryan, Kyle, Alexandria and Nicholas. She is also survived by several great grandchildren.
