It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of William F. Chasteen of Union City, Indiana, born in Richmond, Kentucky, who passed away on December 22, 2021, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Burgess Chasteen and Mary Miller Chasteen; and his brothers, Burgess Chasteen Jr. and Wilbur Chasteen. He is survived by: his wife Della Miller Chasteen; his children, Gale Lynn Smith (Mark) of Wayland, Michigan, Dennis D. Chasteen of Hope, James F. Chasteen (Tami) of Norfolk, William F. Chasteen Jr. (Petra) of Copperas Cove, Darby R. Chasteen (Dana) of Lynn and Solomon R. Chasteen (Theresa); his brother John Chasteen (Sandra) of Williamsburg, Indiana; and his sister-in-law Joan Harris of Richmond. He is also survived by 19 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren.
