He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel L. Kepner and Iona Kepner (Poe); his wife Etta Lucille Kepner (Thompson); his granddaughter Brandi Proffitt (Burkett); and his brothers, Pete and Dale Kepner.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Brutout (Craig), Carol Burkett, Rick Collins (Jodi), Kim Hoppe and Cindy Eadens (Roger); his grandchildren, Nikki Sears (Kevin Briner), James Moland, Brittani Webb (Chris), Richard Collins (Amy) and Kyle Clack; and his sister Doris Ann Self. He is also survived by 19 great grandchildren and 14 great great grandchildren.
