It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janet Louis (Girton) Collins of Union City, Indiana, who passed away on December 8, 2020, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Wilmer Girton and Grace Girton (Smiley); and her siblings, Alberta Birum, Betty Sipe, Marge Overmeyer, Merrill Girton and Elvan Girton.
She is survived by: her husband Richard L Collins; her children, Denise Langenkamp (Jerry) of Marie Stein, OH, Carrie Turner (Jerry) of Ansonia, OH, Kevin Collins of Winchester, IN, Scott Collins and Richard Collins Jr. (Kathy); her grandchildren, Ashley Blevins (Nathan), Danielle Turney (Alex), Abby Evers (Zack), Sarah Edwards (Kenny), Jessica Collins, Taylor Collins (Evan Barger), Richard Collins, Steven Collins (Stacy) and Joan Marie Thornburg (Isaac); and her brothers, Kenny Girton of Winchester, IN and Keith Girton (Billy). She is also survived by 9 Great Grandchildren and 2 Step Great Grandchildren.
Due to the National Health Concerns of Covid-19 Janet's funeral service will be private.
In lieu of flowers the family would like for memorial contributions to be made to Reid Health Hospice Services, Richmond, IN.
