He was predeceased by: his parents, Philip Murphy and Mary Murphy (Elrod); and his siblings, Edwin, John Murphy, Marjorie Collins and Bonna Burns.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy Murphy (Denney); his daughters, Cindy DiNoto (Vince) of Jeffersonville and Cristy Catt (Kerry) of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Braden Catt (Carolyne), Sarah Catt (Kris), Emily DiNoto and Trey DiNoto; and his great grandchild Octavius Catt. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
