He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Mariam Mabel Burris (Wire) and Dr. Floyd Laverne Burris; his brother Stuart Burris (Maggie); his wife Donna Elaine Steepro of Michigan City; his children, Thomas Albert Burris (Renee), Daniel Stuart Burris (late Leah) and Amy Elaine Burris; his grandchildren, Amanda Burris, Andrea Prikkel (Tim), Annie Smith (Jake), Max Burris and Hazel Burris; his great grandchildren, Jonah, Harmony and Tommy James Lee Prikkel; and his caregivers, Lisa Wilson and Earl Callahan.
