She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hobart and Goldie Canner; her husband George William "Bill" Merrick; her grandchildren, Sarah and Andrew Merrick; and her brother Rex Walters.
She is survived by: her sons, Bruce Merrick, Steven A. Merrick (Carolyn), Gary L. Merrick (Karen), Michael Merrick (Becky) and Edward Merrick (Emma); and her brother John Martin. She is also survived by 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren.
