He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Barbara Louise Mitchell (Allen) and Lance Dale Mitchell of Trafalgar, IN.; his wife Ellen Miller (Miller) of Crawfordsville, IN.; his grandparents, Iliff, Roy and Marie Allen; his daughters, Phaedra Ann (Mark), Hammons of Greenfield, IN and Lindsay Danielle Mitchell (Jama Bradfield) of Indianapolis, IN; his grandson Austin Lee Hammons; his siblings, Janet Schantz, Bruce Mitchell (Kim), Judy Wells (Joe), Jill Whitehurst (Allen) and Carolyn (Miller); and his brother-in-law Lionel Hart.

Lennis Daniel Mitchell, 69, passed peacefully at his home in Greenfield, Indiana, on Monday morning, May 23, 2022, now resting in the arms of Jesus after a long struggle with Alzheimer's and Parkinson's which claimed his earthly life.
