He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman George and Mary Teresa DeHart (Gallagher); and his siblings, Deloris DeHart, George DeHart, Don DeHart, Rosemary Sanders and Russell DeHart.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy K. DeHart (Stout); his sons, Scott DeHart (Delanie) of Trafalgar and Troy DeHart (Beth) of Trafalgar; his brothers, John DeHart of Franklin and Herman DeHart (Diane) of Texas; his grandchildren, Sara Kieffer (Justin) of Greenwood, Jared DeHart of Trafalgar, Luke DeHart (Mary) of Trafalgar, Emma DeHart of Denver, CO and Lily DeHart of Trafalgar; and his great grandchild Griffin Kieffer of Greenwood. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
