It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Butler of Trafalgar, Indiana, born in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, who passed away on August 22, 2020, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John T. Butler and Havana Butler (Bowman); and his siblings, Trixie Nell Lamott, Alice Odell Francis, Dixie Bell Carter, John Tom Butler, Joe Fred Butler, George Eagle Butler and William Med Butler.
He is survived by: his wife Emmalea R. Butler of Trafalgar; his children, Pastor Brian Butler (Elaine) of Martinsville, Brett Butler (Tracy) of Whiteland, Chad Butler (Cathy) of Indianapolis and Niki Overby-Butler of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Megan Philpott (Adam) of Franklin, Kye Butler (Anna) of Bloomington, Levi Butler (Beth) of Morgantown, Joel Butler (Lauren) of Whiteland, Blake Butler of Whiteland, Zach Rodrigues of Avon, Paige Butler of Whiteland and Delaney Bailey of Avon; his great grandchildren, Cayde, T. J. and Kash; and his siblings, Jackie Ned Butler (Connie) of Jacksonville, FL, Nancy LaVell Turner (David) of Franklin and Isaac Ed Butler of Glasgow, KY..
