With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Lizzie Ellen Wingard of Topeka, Indiana, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 5, 2025 at the age of 76. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Frey and Ida Frey (Hostetler). She is survived by: her husband Wilbur Wingard; her children, Janie Helmuth (Kevin) of Nappanee, Anita Miller (Wendell) of Nappanee, Christina Schmucker (Lynn) of Goshen, Suzy Hostetler (Galen) of Sturgis, MI, Gary Wingard (Emily) of Sturgis, MI and Kenny Wingard of Topeka; her grandsons, Kenny Wingard of Topeka and Gary Wingard (Emily) of Sturgis, MI; and her brothers, Ken Frey (Joan) of Goshen, Elvie Frey (Clara) of Shipshewana, Leonard Frey (Erma) of Shipshewana, Mahlon Frey (Kathy) of Topeka, Dan Frey of LaGrange and Maynard Frey of Goshen.
Visitation was held on Sunday, April 6th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Monday, April 7th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the John Troyer Residence. A funeral service was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Same Residence. A burial was held on Tuesday, April 8th 2025 at the Hawpatch Cemetery (6500 S 700 W, Topeka, IN 46571).
