He is survived by: his wife Catherine Kurtz; his children, Etta Fern Yoder (Ernest) of Middlebury, Dora Lehman (Lavon) of Topeka, Mary Alice Eash (Glen) of Millersburg, Velda Miller (Jason) of Goshen, Myron Bontrager (Rhoda) of Middlebury, Marion Bontrager (Ruth) of Topeka and Jacob Bontrager (Jennifer) of Millersburg; and his siblings, LeEtta Miller (Alvin Jay) of Topeka, Sue Ann Eash (Melvin L.) of LaGrange, David Dean Bontrager (Linda Fern) of Nappanee, Vernon Ray Bontrager (Arlene) of Centerton, AR and Dennis Jay Bontrager (Naomi) of Cambria, WI.. He is also survived by 27 grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Sunday, December 29th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Lavon Lehman Residence (6375 W 600 S, Topeka, IN 46571). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at 9:30 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Monday, December 30th 2024 at the Hawpatch Cemetery (6500 S 700 W, Topeka, IN 46571).
