She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Sowders and Vonda McCulley Sowders (McCulley); her sister Cindy Sowders; and her brother-in-law Kevin Ludlow. She is survived by: her siblings, David Sowders (Lisa) and Bonnie Ludlow; her nieces and nephews, Sherry Welch (Mike), Megan Stowers, Barry Sowders and Kevin Ludlow Jr.; and her great-nephews, Jakob Baker, Ezequiel Browning and Bradey Welch.

Kay had struggled with an ongoing illness, and her death was not covid related.
