She was predeceased by: her parents, Otis Underwood and Clodah Underwood (Vair); her husband Bill; and her sister Wilma Louise Bowlby (Myron). She is survived by: her son Gary David (Joene); her brother Dwaine Underwood (Margo); her niece Sara Underwood; and her close friend Becky Farrington. She is also survived by 2 sisters, and 4 nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Tipton County 4-H in Norma Jean's memory.
