He was predeceased by: his parents, William Victor DeFord and Emily Naomi Ozenbaugh; and his grandchildren, Dawn, Heidi, Ethan, JT and Kreigh Sloggett.
He is survived by: his friends, John and Mary Phyl Sloggett; his wife Julia; his children, Damon (Denise) of Michigantown, Dawn Dunn (Lee Dunn) of Pittsboro and Heidi Randolph (Rick Randolph) of Michigantown; his brother Maurice DeFord (Janet); his grandchildren, Eric DeFord of Fort Wayne, Nicole Pries (Kyle Pries) of Frankfort, Greta Holmes (Cassius Holmes) of Jacksonville and Margo Requard (Jay Requard) of New York City; and his great grandchildren, Owen DeFord, Cassius Clay Holmes and Benjamin Requard. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations made be made in Larry's name to Normanda Christian Church.
