He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Charles F. Grimes and Rosamary Grimes (Bates); and his siblings, Mary Lou Grimes of Tipton, Harold Grimes (Linda) of Banning, William A. Grimes (Minnie) of Tipton and Willard Danovan "Dan" Grimes (Margaret) of Hiawassee, Georgia.. He was also cherished by many nieces and nephews.

Memorial contributions may be made in Don's honor to St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Building Fund, 335 Mill Street, Tipton, Indiana 46072.
