She was predeceased by: her parents, Frances V. Dane and Francis T. Dane (Koors); her husband Robert Kenneth Thornton; and her siblings, Joseph, Henry, Bernanrd, Clem Dane, Mary Griffin, Margaret Brown and Francis Shawhan.
She is survived by: her daughter Cynthia "Cindy" Dean (John) of Atlanta; her grandchildren, Laura K. Dean-Buelt of Fishers, Derrick S. Dean (Wendy) of Atlanta and Justin A. Dean of Atlanta; her great grandchildren, Bradley Buelt, Ethan Buelt, Karly Dean, Zander Dean and Jade Dean; and her sisters, Christine Ehman, Rosina Simms and Carolyn Biddle (Marvin Tipton).
