It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Vicki A. Saalwaechter of Thorntown, Indiana, born in Flint, Michigan, who passed away on November 10, 2020, at the age of 63, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Fort Wayne Cornell and Mary Irene Cornell Lignitz (Hawkins); her brother Dennis Allen Cornell; and her granddaughter Kathryn Saalwaechter. She is survived by: her husband Dr. John J. Saalwaechter of Thorntown; her stepchildren, Jennifer S. Stogsdill of Lebanon, John Wesley Saalwaechter (Susie) of Seattle and Amy R. Vyain of Lebanon; her grandchildren, Kevin Saalwaechter, Michael Saalwaechter, Kailyn Stogsdill, Summer Stogsdill, Hannah Vyain and Reeder Vyain; and her siblings, Gary Cornell (Marie) of Traverse City, Gregory Cornell (Leslie) of Barryton, Michigan and Nancy Wade (Wayne) of Davison, Michigan. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive visitors beginning 11:00 a. m. and asks that masks be worn and social distancing practiced.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to the charity of the donor's choice.
