He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Oscar and Mary Louise Scott (Saunders); and his sister Barbara Jane Darbutt. He is survived by: his wife Sue Ann Scott (Vidito) of Thorntown; his children, Jeffrey Joseph Scott (Penny Spolyar) of Thorntown, Todd Alan Scott (Marcy) of Thorntown, Jason Lee Scott (Anna) of Thorntown and Kasha Sue Smith (Evan) of Thorntown; his grandchildren, Zachary Robert Scott (Katie), Courtney Diane Ford (David), Nicholas David Scott, John Robert Scott (Sarah), Ila Sue Robinson (Adam), Levi Todd Scott, Cameron Alexander Beck, Lucas Robert Scott, Abigail Maria Scott, Adeline Maxine Smith, Emma Sue Smith and Hannah Grace Smith; his brother-in-law David Darbutt of Kannapolis; and his nephews, Adam Darbutt (Amber) of Mount Pleasant and Gregory Darbutt (Lindsay) of Concord. He is also survived by six great grandchildren.
