He was predeceased by: his sister Kimber Yates. He is survived by: his parents, Rick Yates and Patty Yates (Evans) of Thorntown; his wife Barbara Bailey; his daughters, Kari Butler (Neil) of Thorntown and Kassie Price (Colby) of Indianapolis; his siblings, Jeff of Thorntown, Terry Yates of Thorntown and Chrissy Yates of Shelbyville; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Jaice, Brendan Butler and Kaia Price.

Memorial contributions in his memory may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
