It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John Gillan of Thorntown, Indiana, born in Lebanon, Indiana, who passed away on March 10, 2021, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill Gillan and Julia Ellen Gillan (Spencer). He is survived by: his wife Sharon Gillan (Bowen); his children, Kristine Barnes (Don) of Thorntown, Patrick Gillan of Crawfordsville, Matthew Gillan of Crawfordsville, Doug Merrill of Thorntown and Jodie Merrill (Mary Helen Atkins) of Denton, NC; his grandchildren, J. R. Merrill (Lyndsay), Miriah Merrill, Houston Phillips (Emily), Hannah Phillips, Hunter Phillips, Jake Barnes, Emily Hollums (Josh) and Courtney Barnes; and his great grandchildren, Gryson Louks, Addalynn Louks, Ryker Louks and Brooks Hollums.
