He is survived by: his parents, Richard Smith and Jean Smith (Giles) of Thorntown; his wife Marla Smith (Powers) of Thorntown; his sons, Christopher Bryan Smith of Brownsburg and Jacob Thomas Smith (Sandra Jane) of Jamestown; his grandchildren, Aveah, Izabella, Brodie, Roman and Brock; and his siblings, T. Dean Smith (Valerie) of South Carolina, R. Eric Smith (Melissa) of Thorntown, Lori Sewell (Bryan) of Whitestown and Robin Brettin of Whitestown. He is also survived by nine nieces and nephews.
