He was predeceased by: his grandparents, Thomas, Doris Conklin-Heyen, Charles W. Schaffer, Sr. and Rose W. Crowley Schaffer; and his uncles, David R. Shaffer and Harry B. Schaffer.
He is survived by: his parents, Charles Schaffer, Jr. and Judith Heyen Schaffer; his sister Lori A. Ormsby (Chuck); his nieces, Jocelyn Callahan (Sean) and Allison Ormsby; his aunt Sue; his uncle Dale Hale; and his close friends, Kim, John, Hennie Becking and Benny Prouse.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, April 23rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Thursday, April 24th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the DeBaun Funeral Homes & Crematory (85 E Springhill Dr, Terre Haute, IN 47802). A funeral service was held on Thursday, April 24th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations of remembrance may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
