He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Clayton and Belle Baker Clayton; and his son Patrick Clayton. He is survived by: his wife Patricia Carlson Clayton; his son Thomas Clayton, Jr. (Maria); his brother James Clayton (Judy); his grandson Patrick Clayton; and his stepgranddaughters, Mary, Crystal and Melissa.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to 14th & Chestnut Community Center.
