He was predeceased by: his parents, Jack Hoar and Gwendolyn King Hoar; and his sister Jacqueline Phillips (Mac Phillips). He is survived by: his wife Linda Pruett Hoar; his children, Lori Hoar (Mike Waldbieser), Matthew Hoar (Debbie) and Kurtis Hoar (Mandi); his grandchildren, Hannah Johnson (Dylan), Shane Feuquay, Logan Hoar, Jordyn Hoar, Khloe Hoar, Mya Hoar, Ava Hoar and Samuel Bragg; and his great grandchildren, Hudson Johnson and Kaden Johnson. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in honor of Sam to Gibson Family Center for Hospice.
