It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sally Lou (Ryan) Russell (Terre Haute, Indiana), who passed away on July 5, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank M. Ryan and Mary Jane Miller Ryan; her husband Jerry A. Russell; her son Michael R. Sandlin; her stepson Brett E. Russell; and her siblings, Patrick J. Ryan and Mary Frances Smith.
She is survived by: her children, Jennifer Sandlin Sewell of Edgewater and Mathew Ryan Sandlin of Terre Haute; her stepsons, Michael C. Russell of Terre Haute and Jon C. Russell of Brazil, Indiana; her grandchildren, Ryan Sandlin, Zachary Sandlin, Hana Sandlin, Cody Sandlin, Noah Sandlin, Khloe Sandlin, Savannah Sandlin, Carrie Sewell Roberts, Sarah Sewell Tippin, Amanda Sewell, Brandon Russell, Lindsay Russell Jeffers, Austin Russell and Madison Russell; her nieces, Cindy Durham of Rosedale, IN, Tina Ryan of Rockford, IL, Virginia L. Smith of Terre Haute and Sally Jane Lowery of Terre Haute; and her nephew Patrick J. Ryan, Jr. of South Pasadena, FL. She is also survived by 10 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Terre Haute Humane Society or the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in her honor.
