He is survived by: his wife Penny Gail Schafer (Bulkley); his children, Leslie Schafer of Ochoa, Justin Schafer (Michelle) of Meridianville, AL, Nicholas Schafer (Lisa) of Brownsburg, IN and Lauren Hayes of Avon, IN; and his grandchildren, Jason Hayes, Brecken Hayes, Grace Schafer, Isabelle Ochoa, Bryce Schafer, Natalie Schafer, Madeleine Ochoa and Angela Schafer.
