He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Dean Booe, Sr. and Virginia F. Booe (Barrett); and his sister Anna Sinders. He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Booe (Nees); his children, Katrina Kelsheimer (Brad), Matthew Booe (Jennifer) and Elliott Booe; his brothers, Bill Booe (Peggy) and Jim Booe (Polly); and his grandchildren, Kourtney McNerney (Colgan), Ginny Clark, Lyndee Clark, Jacob Kelsheimer, Abby Kelsheimer, Caroline Booe, Thea Booe, Cristofer Reyes and Johana Reyes. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Clay County or Vigo County Humane Shelters.

“Richard was always happy and friendly to me when I was working at Idle Creek in the pro shop. He would always come in late afternoon and tell me that he was gonna play just a few holes. When Richeard won the senior club championship he beat me by one stroke. The only time that ever played in it. And he would always holler at you if he was on his deck at the 4th green.RIP Richard.”
