It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Maxine Nancy Carter of Terre Haute, Indiana, born in Chicago, Illinois, who passed away on April 26, 2024, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ralph Liimatainen and Sylvia Peterson (Kahra); and her brother Paul Givens. She is survived by: her husband Gilbert Carter; her children, Hilary Ann Carter, Jonathan Eric Carter (Denise) and Jason "Colt" Carter; her brothers, Raymond Hunt, Randall Hunt and Buck Liimatainen; her grandchildren, Sydney Carter (Equaisha), Rowan Carter, Duncan Carter and Lily Carter; her great grandchildren, Kendalynn Ann Carter, London Maxine Carter, Ashton James Carter, Lucille Rose Carter, Ar'Yianna Jones and Kyngston Jones; and her friends, Beryle George and Montra Withers. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
