Though Leathia may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Leathia touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert H. Newman and Elenor Loraine Newman (Bolin); and her siblings, Charlotte Hall and Herbert Anthony "Tony" Newman. She is survived by: her sister Nancy Elaine Harralson (Richard Allen).
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the DeBaun Funeral Homes & Crematory (85 E Springhill Dr, Terre Haute, IN 47802). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made, in her memory, to the World Gospel Church Missions Program (900 Gardendale Rd., Terre Haute, IN 47803).
